Mohamed Ouknin holds a PhD in Biotechnology and the Valorisation of Aromatic and Medicinal Plants from the Faculty of Science and Techniques-Errachidia, Moulay Ismail University. He obtained his master’s degree in Biotechnology and Valorisation of Aromatic and Medicinal Plants at the Faculty of Sciences-Meknes and his bachelor’s degree in Valorisation of Local Products and Local Know-how at the Faculty of Science Ibn Zohr University, Agadir.
Mohamed joined Global Diversity Foundation in July 2019 as Local Product Commercialisation Coordinator, responsible in overseeing the development of processes related to local product commercialisation and marketing, including design of a protocol and procedure for data consolidation and product selection, ethnobotanical monographs, feasibility studies for selected products, market value chain analysis, creation of draft business plans and their implementation.
Mohamed is a fluent speaker of Tamazight, Tachelhit, Arabic, French and English. He is based in Morocco.
