Edward Martin obtained a Bachelor’s degree, with a major in History and a minor in Political Science, from McGill University. He is now preparing for a Masters in Migration, Mobility and Development at the School of Oriental and African Studies (London).
Before joining Global Diversity Foundation, Edward fundraised for NGOs such as UNICEF, Doctors Without Borders and Greenpeace. He also volunteered with charities supporting asylum seekers in Montreal, Canada and provided informal support to migrants stranded in Morocco.
As a project consultant, Edward leads the Global Migrants Project with Cécile Michiardi. This new GDF initiative aims to support West and Central African migrants stranded in Morocco. Edward’s current work focuses on reaching out to migrant communities, developing partnerships with local organisations and seeking new funding sources.
